For those interested in animals and nature, it does not get much better than this. The combination Selous Game Reserve and the national parks Ruaha and Katavi are in the top tier. Thanks to the location of these parks, you can see an incredible mix of animal species. Partly the southern species such as Roan and Sabel antelope which have habitat all the way up here and partly otherwise rare species such as. wild dogs that are common in these areas. DAY 1

Flights from Sweden to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Meals on board.

DAY 2

Once you have landed, you will be met by our agent and you will receive a transfer to your hotel.

DAY 3

Transfer from your hotel to Dar Airport The
flight to Selous is with a smaller safari flight, and takes about an hour. These flights have a maximum of 15 kg luggage weight in soft bags.
The flight takes place over large areas of untouched forest and uninhabited land.

Once you are in Selous, you will make a stopover on several small runways and here it is important that you listen to the pilot where you are going to jump off.
You will be picked up and given a transfer to your camp. When you arrive, lunch is served.

In the afternoon you have a safari together with the lodge’s ranger and other guests.

DAY 4 & 5

Morning and afternoon safari. It can be either by boat, hiking or safari by jeep.

DAY 6

Transfer to Selous Airstrip and flight to Ruaha National Park.

Pick-up on arrival and transfer to the camp. Lunch is served when you arrive,

In the afternoon you have a safari with other guests in the camp’s own jeeps.

DAY 7 & 8

Morning and afternoon safari with the other guests of the camp.

DAY 9

Today you check out and get a transfer to the airstrip for a flight to one of Tanzania’s least visited national parks, Katavi. The park is absolutely incredible and recent studies show that Katavi has the highest density of game in Tanzania.

When you land, you will be met by the lodge’s staff and given a transfer to the camp. Here you get some time to freshen up before heading out on an afternoon safari.

DAY 10 & 11

Morning and afternoon safari with the other guests of the camp.

DAY 12

Check-out and you will receive a transfer to the airport well in advance of your departure home.

DAY 13

Arrival Sweden. Welcome home!

DAY 1 – RIVERTREES

We book you to Kilimanjaro Airport in northern Tanzania where you will meet on arrival. Transfer to very nice little hotel Rivertrees. Accommodation 1 night incl. breakfast.

DAY 2 – THE HIGHLANDS

After breakfast you travel with your guide through landscapes characterized by coffee plantations towards the beautiful Ngorongorocrat. Here we stay magically in one of the 8 dome tents at The Highlands for 2 nights. Hiking in Olmoti Crater in the afternoon.

DAY 3 – THE HIGHLANDS

Safari and game drive in the Ngorongorocrat. The journey goes along the crater edge and then the road down to the national park where we do game drives on this relatively limited area that still has a rich wildlife. Picnic lunch down in the crater before we head back to our accommodation at The Highlands.

DAY 4 – DUNIA CAMP, SERENGETI

Travel further out towards the Serengeti. Check in at Dunia Camp which is a wonderful safari camp with only 8 tents with all amenities such as real beds and shower / WC. The showers are heated by solar energy. You stay here 3 nights with full board and game drives / safari in the Serengeti.

Dunia is Tanzania’s first and only women-only safari camp and the Dunia ladies welcome all guests as a family. There is a larger lounge and dinner tent overlooking the grassy plains of the Serengeti. The tents are raised on wooden decks with a larger terrace where you have a good view of the wildlife and nature.

DAY 5-6 DUNIA CAMP, SERENGETI

Gamedrives early morning and late afternoon in the Serengeti when wildlife is most active. We see the big predators like lions and enjoy a really good safari in the Serengeti.

DAY 7

Breakfast at the camp before the safari flight back in the morning to Kilimanjaro Airport. Here we can book you further home to Sweden or you can extend your trip with Zanzibar.
