This district has two high schools—Pamlico County High School and Pamlico Early College High School. Pamlico County High School has a student body of about 400 students and offers classes from core curriculum to art and music while Pamlico Early College High School has a student body of about 200 students with similar courses available. Both districts have dedicated teachers who work hard to ensure their students have access to quality education as well as opportunities for growth outside of the classroom such as sports teams, academic clubs, student organizations, community service projects, field trips and more. The majority of elementary schools in the state are part of public school districts, and offer students a comprehensive education from Kindergarten through fifth grade.
