The country of Mozambique is located on the Indian Ocean and is separated from Madagascar in the east by the Mozambique Channel. It borders South Africa and Zimbabwe to the south and west, Zambia to the northwest and Malawi and Tanzania to the north. In the central part of the country flows the river Zambezi. Off its coast there are many small islands with fantastic beaches and here are opportunities for various activities such as snorkeling or diving.

We end our trip with some wonderful bathing days in Mozambique. Here we stay at the beautiful Machangulo Beach Lodge just outside the capital Maputo. We reach the lodge in 1.5 hours by speedboat and wade ashore for a warm welcome. Here you will find everything you could want from lazy days at the beach, good swimming and snorkeling as well as nightly turtle scouting under the auspices of the lodge’s staff. If you want to spend more days in South Africa or just want to go to Mozambique, we will also arrange it.

DAY 1 ARRIVAL AT KRUGER MPUMALANGA OR SKUKUZA AIRPORT

Here we meet our safari guide and drive us to our lodge, Rhino Post or Lukimbi. Safari in the afternoon. Dinner included.

DAY 2-3 TWO DAYS FOR SAFARI IN THE KRUGER PARK

We go on safari in an open four-wheel drive jeep early in the morning and late in the afternoon. The lodges also offer safaris on foot and at Rhino Post Safari Lodge a so-called “Sleep Out” is arranged when you spend the night on a platform up in a tree. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

DAY 4 ACROSS THE BORDER INTO MOZAMBIQUE

We take the country road to Komatipoort for passport and customs control and then on to Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. From here we board a boat that takes us across Maputo Bay to the Machangulo Peninsula and here is Machangulo Beach Lodge. Breakfast and dinner are included.

DAY 5-8 FOUR FULL DAYS FOR SWIMMING AND RELAXATION

Spend your days on the beach or take part in activities organized by the hotel, e.g. snorkeling, diving, guided tours on land and at
sea. Breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as some drinks are included.

DAY 9 RETURN VIA MAPUTO

Boat transfer to the port of Maputo and on by car to the airport. Breakfast included.
