Delta Camp is located in a wooded area on an island at the southwestern end of Chief’s Island, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, in the middle of the Okavango Delta.

Okavango, with its crystal clear waterways, water lily lagoons, vast plains and countless islands, is home to over 450 different bird species, spectacular flora and almost all of Africa’s wildlife. Therefore, the inland delta has gained its reputation as one of the world’s foremost safari areas. At Delta Camp, the focus is on you experiencing the peace and quiet, (following the game on foot is the excitement on offer) and guests are encouraged to visit the local villages where most safari guides live.

Dinners are taken outdoors with sweeping views of the delta. Why not take a full day hiking safari with a picnic lunch to some nearby island, it’s a wonderful experience.

At the camp you get a different Okavango experience without motorized vehicles, here it is canoeing, hiking with the local guides that apply. All for you to have a calm and original safari experience, beyond the ordinary.

A traditional Okavango safari with your private safari guide, luxurious with natural accommodation and meals made with delicious ingredients give the camp its good reputation.

At the camp, a maximum of 16 guests can stay in the red chalets, which are built of natural materials and stand elevated on a terrace. Each chalet has a toilet / shower, outdoor shower and solar-powered electricity.

All rooms are individually designed to fit into the surroundings and to get the best view of the landscape.

At Delta Camp, all guests receive their own safari guide and all live locally in the resort. The guides know the area well and during the day you spend time in mokoros (canoes) and glide calmly and quietly through the waterways. You hike to small islands and enjoy the bird and wildlife you see.

At Delta Camp, bars are welcome and some rooms have three or four beds that are suitable for families. There are no restrictions here due to age because your safari is your private and you do not have to take other guests into account – Everything happens at your pace.

Delta Camp is committed to the environment. Only degradable, environmentally friendly products are used here for everything. We only use local guides and the safari flight takes all waste from the island. The environment here is very sensitive and is the very reason why we want to be here, therefore we also want to take care of it in the best way.

DAY 4 – 5

Today it will be a little more adventurous because during the Mokoro trail tour you will explore the delta in a completely unique way that is not possible anywhere else. Few are privileged to be able to leave the safari routine at ordinary lodges and go out and just discover. Here you get away from the usual Botswana experiences and become completely engrossed in the desire to discover. The tour includes an overnight stay and gives a completely different dimension to your safari.

DAY 6 – 8

We travel in mokoros and discover Okavango’s small and big mysteries.

DAY 9

Today you say goodbye to the adventure and get a transfer and safari flight to Maun where you change to your international flight home.
