Buy 1 yard canvas. Any kind of cloth will work on making your pet bowl mat. Just select the type of canvas that appeals to you and perhaps even reflect the personality of your pet.
Use a ruler to lightly pencil boundaries of your pet bowl place mat. The size of your place mat depends on the size of your pet and its eating habits. If your pet is a messy eater, make a bowl pet place mats larger than usual. Use ordinary human place mat as a guide for size.
Cut place mats out of the canvas. Hem edges by sewing, gluing or duct tape raw edges of the underside of the location of the mat. Make even all edges.
Attach non-slip material to the underside of place mats, so the bowl of your pet will not slide while you eat. Decorate your place mat, using markers, paint, templates or other materials. Type the name of your pet place mats. Stencil whatever you want on accommodation – bones for dog mouse for a cat or phrases. You can even sketch a portrait of your pet place mats.
Apply several layers of polyurethane bowl pet mat once it’s done.
